First Impressions
Well, I was excited to get the Gphone, its beautiful, well made, and works like a handheld computer in many ways. Here's the problem: T-mobile. This network is horrible, I get Zero bars in my living room. Now, I don't live in Rural California, I live in the city of Sacramento, two blocks from a freeway and a major thoroughfare. How is it possible that I get no coverage? What a crappy network. Coming from two years with Verizon, this is a serious step down.
When it works
When connected to the network, the Gphone is great, good web browsing, gmail works great, etc, etc. I really have no complaints so far. It does what I want it to do, it acts as a mobile browser.
Battery
The battery life so far has been terrible, I can imagine charging this thing 3 times a day. however, it does come with a USB cable that will allow you to charge it via your computer, at least I think that's what its doing.
Bottom Line
Ultimately, I will have to return this phone and go back to Verizon, above everything else, I need a phone first, one that works everywhere. If i cant get calls from customers, I will have nothing to put on my mobile calendar, so phone coverage trumps internet connectivity.
I really hope Verizon decides to carry an Android phone.
